Saving Dicken Woods

How to Help - Enjoy the Benefit Concert, August 21, 2003

Thanks to the generosity of very special musicians, the Friends have organized a wonderful benefit concert for Thursday August 21, 2003 at the Ark. Tickets are $20 each ($25 for reserved seats) with all proceeds benefitting the preservation efforts. According to the Ark's Calendar of Events:

"Great music and the chance to keep Ann Arbor tree-filled. A handful of SE Michigan's most loved musicians join together for a concert to perserve the green world. Local legend and award-winning guitarist George Beddard will be joined by Emmy-winning songwriter David Barrett; Matt Watroba, the voice of SE Michigan's folk community; Khalid Hanifi, writer/vocalist for jazz group Map of the World; along with some special guests yet to be named. The proceeds from this event will help purchase Dicken Woods (located at the corner of Pauline and Maple on the west side of Ann Arbor) to perserve the area from development."
